Apart from mirroring, you can control Adobe Audition using your iPad as an audio control surface. With this, you can have a number of controls on your iPad assigned to some functionalities within Adobe allowing you to have control of Audition. The interface of this control surface should basically look like a mixer with basic controls like faders, mute, and record buttons.

It is a great application on your computer for being resourceful and I believe even if some features are omitted the app will still be of great benefit. The time could not be more right.
